Our final outing of 2024 was played at Malahide Golf Club on October 3rd, a combined event with RIALPA. We had a total of 30 golfers including 12 RIALPA members with 24 staying for Dinner. The weather again was fantastic with the course in great condition.
At stake was the Capt. Dinny McCloone Memorial Trophy with the RIALPA members also playing for the Capt. Frank Thompson Trophy (aka Thumpers jug!).
It was great to see so many of our retired colleagues in attendance and equally great to see some new faces. The Red Barons is open to all regardless of golfing ability and I would encourage any pilot in Aer Lingus who enjoys golf to come along to one of our outings.
It was fantastic to have so many stay for dinner were may stories were told, with a small cohort even continuing the celebrations in Gibneys of Malahide until the early hours!
