Captain Gerry Headon Trophy

Our Second outing of the year was the Capt. Gerry Headon Trophy on July 8th at Luttrellstown Golf Club. This was the first time the Red Barons had visited Luttrellstown and we were not disappointed. As is becoming normal for the Red Barons golf outings, the weather again was fantastic, sunny conditions, soaring temperatures and calm winds. The course was in great shape and this combined with the favorable weather conditions again led to some fantastic scoring.

We had 32 golfers competing on the day including Capt. Gerry Headon's son, Gerry Headon Jnr! We also had four first timers, first officers Stephen Doyle, Ben Thompson, Ciaran Connor and Niall Howard which was great to see.

The Red Barons golfing society is open to all pilots regardless of ability and I would encourage anyone who enjoys golf to come out and play.
